(2) Handwritten Music Score 

Have you ever wanted the score to one of the songs I play in my music videos? Unfortunately, most songs were played by ear. That meant I arranged the song in my head, and played from my heart. I ain’t got sheets, darling. No score, no, nothing. No point leaving me comments asking me to send you sheets or scores, I don’t have any.

BUT… …

This Summer for the first time, I WILL DEDICATE MY EFFORTS to writing out the numerical score of ONE song you choose from my music videos. *The Crowd Cheers!* This is a score that no one else is able to find from music books!

I will provide a Numerical Score, the common form of music scoring for the Guzheng whereby the numbers 1234567 represents Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti; 1 does not necessarily correspond to C, e.g. 1=D or 1=G are possible. Give me 1 or 2 months time after choosing the winner, as I will have to handwrite the score using pen and paper. I will also include a page specifying what each of the 21 guzheng strings should be tuned to, because I have atypical tunings for alot of my songs. If a bass guitar song is chosen, I will write in staves and tablature.

 Here are the T&Cs for choosing your Free song:

1. You cannot choose songs from Seren’s Secret music videos. 2010[3] Jay Chou’s Cai Hong, 2010[12] J.S. Bach – Cello Suite No.1 in G Maj (BMV1007) 1st Movement Prelude, and 2010[17] J.S.Bach – Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring
2. You cannot choose songs that were not played by ear by me. 2010[6] Cant Help Falling – Elvis Presley – Guitar Solo as it was my ex-classmate that taught me how to play it, and 2010[26] Decode Modified – Paramore for obvious reasons.
3. For medley videos (where I combined 3 songs into one video), you can only choose one song from the medley of songs. For example, you can choose ‘第几个100天’ out of three songs in 2010[10] A Medley of JJ Lin 林俊杰 Songs, but not all three.
4. For videos with multiple instruments, you can only request for the score of one instrument, with the exception of 2010[25] Heal the World, where I would provide the score for both guzhengs if this song is chosen.
5. To obey the above four points, simply choose one from the List below for your score request:

Q: How do I participate？

To submit, you must make a video response of Yourself and Any Musical Instrument to THIS VIDEO HERE:

To qualify, you MUST include the following required sentences in your video, and fill in the (brackets) with your own answers.

It’s like closed passages we fill up in school eh? Feel free to say anything additional in your video response. ^_^

Q: How is the winner chosen?

Submissions entered between Now and July 31st 2010 that chooses a song from the List and includes the required sentences in their video response will qualify to win via Lucky Draw.

•  You can only submit one video response, but you can affect the number of entries that go into the Lucky Draw.
• If you play your instrument for 10 sec to 1 min 59sec in your video response, you get ONE entry.
• If you play your instrument for 2 min to 3 min 59sec in your video response, you get TWO entries.
• If you play your instrument for 4minutes and longer, you get THREE entries into the Lucky Draw. This is the maximum.
• I will write your name/username and song choice onto a small piece of paper, and fold it small and place it into a glass container. For those with two entries, I will do this twice (therefore you have two paper entries into the glass container); For those with three entries, I will do it trice.
•  On August 1st 2010, I will shake the container, reach my hand in and pick one entry, and announce the winner!
• I will contact the winner on August 1st 2010, and all the other participants on August 2nd 2010 via youtube mail with the results, so make sure you log in to find out.
• If there are no video responses by July 31st 2010, the FIRST qualifying video response I receive from August 1st 2010 onwards will be announced the winner, no Lucky Draw needed.

Q: Will the other Participants get anything?

You will get a copy of the handwritten music score of the song chosen by the winner. So keep your fingers crossed that the winner chose the same song as you! XD LOL

Feel free to ask your other musical friends to participate too, the more people request for the same song as you, the higher the chances of getting the score you want.
